Welcome to the Homestead Blog Hop!
Homestead Blog Hop will take place every Wednesday and is for all things homesteading: real food recipes, farm animals, crafts, DIY, how-to’s, gardening, anything from-scratch, natural home/health, self-sufficiency, self-reliance, natural remedies, essential oils, & more! Basically anything related to homesteading.
Now that we’ve got that out of the way…
I’m glad you came.My two younger boys and I are en route to Southern KY to one of our church’s camps. We have a short little mission trip with their youth group, at which we will work with another team of missionaries to spruce up the camp. Our kids will be involved in building a bathroom.
Last year, when our team of youth showed up, I imagined a collective eyeroll from the seasoned missionaries. Once work began, I witnessed those same eyes popping with amazement as the youth knocked out difficult projects rapidly. So, the camp personally invited our kids back.
I’m proud of our team, largely because of the leadership and motivation they provide.
This project will stretch them. Two and a half days to complete the build. Maybe I should invite them to our homestead.
In the meantime, you can check out the latest happenings at Ridge Haven Homestead via our Youtube channel.
Have a great day!
Laurie
