Welcome to the Homestead Blog Hop!

Wow!

The last blog hop before Christmas has arrived!

I don’t know how many bloggers will be blog hopping this week–so much happening! If you happen to need last-minute ideas, here’s the place!

It has not felt like Christmas time this year so far! We’ve just stayed so busy working on our house that decorating, baking, and all of the fun seasonal stuff has been shelved in favor of progress.

I’ve begun more earnestly playing Christmas music, though, hoping to feel it more.

Jim Reeves, 12 Songs of Christmas has been my all time favorite Christmas album. Mom played it so much growing up that o didn’t know you could do a Christmas season without this playing in the background.

I see that there has been a “new” collection of Jim Reeves Christmas songs released. Improved sound, newly uncovered songs, and some embellishments make me think that we’ll be checking this new album out.

Jim Reeves. The New Christmas Recordings

I listened to the original album on Pandora, and I’m going to see if there are any streaming options for that new cd. 💿 Fun!

What’s on your Christmas playlist? And are you all ready for the holiday?

We have a fun get together for the boys this evening. A white elephant party always does help to boost the holiday spirit!

Hope you have a great Christmas, hopefully with people who matter most to you!

God bless,

Laurie

PS. To keep up with our cabin build project, pop over to our YouTube channel. I’m trying to keep up with progress, and we are making some!

Recently I’ve started showing more work in progress, peeking into some of the rooms!

Here’s the YouTube channel

Be on the lookout, because I’m about to release a video on what the tongue and groove walls are looking like, plus Adam has been adding walnut trim, which we are all really loving! That video should be out later today.

Be sure to subscribe to keep up with progress! 📺

  5. Please link up posts that you haven’t linked to the hop before. You are welcome to link old posts from your blog.
  6. By joining the party, you are giving the hosts permission to use one photo from your post with a link back to your site if it is selected as one of next week’s Features.
  7. This is a family-friendly link up meant to inspire and motivate the homesteader in all of us.
