Welcome to the Homestead Blog Hop!

Happy Wednesday to you all!

I hope you al had a great new year and are launching into 2022 with determination.

We celebrated Christmas with my family over the weekend. We had a very nice time and it was great to get together, though not long enough.

We also got some snow Sunday evening! Enough to be pretty, but not enough to really do much with. Thankfully, the roads stayed clear, so it was the best of both worlds–snow and safety.

Here’s a shot that Andrew captured as the sun was peeking over the ridge! Snow at Ridge Haven Homestead

I launched the first edition of the Sunday Sunshine Blog Hop on Sunday and that went pretty well. I’m thankful for those who came to share and participate. “Never despise small beginnings”, they say, and I know that that’s true in almost every area of life.

Today, we have some neat features!

I’m pleased to see a crochet pattern, I enjoy crocheting. I also love scarves and ponchos, so a cape might be fun! :-). 🧶

Herbs are another love of mine, so making an herb garden is a great way to keep things spiced up! 🌱

And in this time of the cold/flu/sickness/covid, a good antiviral is a must! I make an elderberry syrup and we use it when we start to go down physically. Be sure to check out the recipe featured–there are many ways to make elderberry syrup. 🙂

Have fun sharing and caring!

Have a great week! Frosty leaves

Laurie
