And Happy Sabbath!!

Remember

Since it’s Sabbath and a New Year, that makes it another high Sabbath!

So I want to share a little gift with you that has blessed our family many times.

The following song is a mini history lesson on the Sabbath, written and sung by a young lady several years ago. I’m also linking the song sung by a ladies’ quartet, which includes the subtitles. Both are lovely, but I find myself really drawn to the original, by Sarah Draget.

You will be blessed by either version!

Did you stay up to watch the ball drop?

Nope bitmoji

There was a time when staying up until midnight seemed like a lot of fun! Obviously I’m just getting too old for that, because snuggling into my nice warm bed sounds so much more appealing!

Rest is best!

Enjoy the last of your holidays, and get some rest!

Many blessings to you and yours during this new year!

  1. Happy New Year! Both versions were lovely! We did stay up but we didn’t watch the ball drop. My husband and I watched a movie, toasted at midnight, and waited up for our 19-year-old to come home from a friend’s house.

I know he’s an “adult” but I like knowing that he’s back in the house before I go to sleep. Luckily, he’s not much of a partier!

  2. Both versions of the song are beautifully sung! I can’t remember the last time I was awake for the ball to drop! LOL Looking forward to reading your blogs!

  3. *I agree on the sleeping sounds more appealilng. I desperately tried to stay up until midnight, but 10 minutes away, I was lying in bed just hanging on. Looking forward to getting to know you through your blogging!
