On a Personal Note:
The Off grid life is not without its hiccups. Right now I’m sitting in the library so I can draft this blog post. We had a tree come down and, while we are still praising God for His protection, it did take out a window and, after several days, our WiFi.
I’ve never been inside our local library, and I have to say that it’s a delightfully cozy place to sit and use WiFi.
Shocking to me was that I realized yesterday marked 8 years for our family on our off grid homestead! I can’t say the time has flown, exactly, but it certainly has a sobering feel when I consider eight years of our lives.
AdI made a video yesterday, which just posted today because of the WiFi thing, where I’m doing a little recap of our first 8 years off the grid.
Since I’m stuck doing everything at the library, I will try two ways to link the video, and remove the second one once I get our WiFi back in our home.
We’ve learned much, have experienced things we’d never imagined would be part of our family, and have overcome many obstacles. We are still working on getting the whole homestead up to snuff, but every day we make some progress, however small.
