Welcome to the Homestead Blog Hop!
I have heard it said that it is good for our brains and mood to create things with our hands.
Knitting, crocheting, woodworking, sewing, gardening, baking, and even legos—we gain great satisfaction when we have made something ourselves.
Every day, we have opportunities to create things. Maybe it’s writing a couple of paragraphs. Some days it may be putting together a bouquet of flowers, drawing a sketch, or making up a catchy tune.
I have noticed that some days are filled with things like this, and other days I need to pay more attention to squeezing it in.
Yesterday, my projects were foos preservation from garden produce. It’s almost all done, but I am doing a little bit of dehydrating and canning, and some freezing.

Today, I am canning carrots. I am not tackling huge amounts, but rather small bits that need getting used up.
Even with days filled with “creating” things like food, I have types of creative outlets that I enjoy more, like crocheting. At the end of the day, I try to squeeze in a little to settle my mind.
But flowers are great too, and here are some of my late season beauties!

God bless you, and keep on creating!!
Laurie
