Welcome to the Homestead Blog Hop!

What a wonderful day it is today!

I drove through our town early and noticed so many freshly cut green lawns, bright Spring flowers, and just the general greening up of the area. It’s nice. More and more these days, I really, really appreciate living in a small town.

It’s slower life (a little bit), people smile and wave, and I don’t get too lost. But more than that, it just feels good to feel like I belong in a community.

If you have the chance to live in a smaller town, snatch it up! Our town is actually booming with growth, and I secretly kind of hate that. I don’t mind new people, it’s just the crowds that squelch me.

I just left a thrift store where the owner asked about my boys. I have not entered that store for half a year, and probably almost a decade since my boys have gone with me, but she remembered. That’s what I like.

You know what else I like?

This song.

There’s one little word I’d change, but the message is spot on for my mama’s heart.

That’s all for today.

Have a blessed one.

Laurie.

  2. Our daughter and her husband moved to small town a few years back and they are loving the community they found there… It’s about 40 minutes from a bigger town so they still have access to many places they might need or like. It’s a great place to raise their family! Thank you for the party, Laurie! You andyour cohosts are wonderful!
