Happy Sabbath!

Today I’m just sharing some gorgeous shots from today’s brief morning walk.

It’s a rainy Sabbath, and while most of my family headed off to church, I opted to stay home to care for my eldest son, who is down sick.

Yes, technically at 19, he can care for himself. But, I feel it my honor and my motherly responsibility to care for my brood. I hate feeling sick, and being sick and caring for yourself leads to no care at all. It’s just hard to muster up the energy to help yourself when you’re down.

So, while we do treatments for him, there are moments of rest for both. Because of live streaming, we don’t have to miss church.

Our property is enshrouded in a lovely mist.

Enjoy the shots of the sunny beauties that shine even when the sun hides.

While we listen to the service, I kept my hands busy with coloring these Bible verses. One finished, one in progress. Bible Inspirations coloring book, Mary Currier

Little Flowers

These cheery blooms reminded me of a song I’d heard for the first time a couple of weeks ago, although it’s been around for many years. I believe it was first performed by Val Mace of the Heritage Singers. I really like this version, with the gorgeous flowers in the background, including the Showy Lady’s Slipper, which I hope to see one day!

The words to this song are perfect!

  1. What beautiful sunflowers, looks like you have a wonderful walk viewing God’s beauty! Hope your son is feeling better!

  2. absolutely beautiful. The very best thing that occurred during covid is having live streaming of religious services so we didn’t miss out of this important aspect of our lives.

  3. Love your pictures! Looks like it was a great walk! It is nice to see that you are taking care of yourself so that you can take care of your son! I wish him a speedy recovery!

What is your experience? 💜 I read every comment, and so many times I find that I gain encouragement from what’s shared. ❤️
