Happy Week!

Can you feel the hints of Autumn in the air?  I will admit that most days, it feels like Summer is still going strong, but lately, I have sensed that we are inching our way towards FALL—my favorite time of the year!

The days are shortening little by little, cool breezes flutter by, and gardens are taking on that crispy look. The seasons are slowly changing!

Doesn’t it make you feel excited?  Every change in seasons brings a tiny little bit of sadness, as we see what is lost.  But we also see the joyous potential of the season to come, and that brings the excitement of anticipation! Bring on the Autumn!

Some of the features from the Homestead Blog Hop this week highlight seasonal change. The elderberries are fruiting, so preserving them is one homesteading chore.  Get those berries prepared and you’ll be all set for cold and flu season, which is just around the corner!  You may even want to make some Elderberry Immune Syrup with them!

On today’s hop I will be sharing about my friend, Sandra’s freshly published book!  She is one of the authors featured in the newest Chicken Soup for the Soul book.  You’ll be blessed and inspired to read her account of angel intervention, so please look for My Friend is Published, Angels Among Us on the blog hop.

Now on to the hop…

  1. Homestead Blog Hop will take place every Wednesday and is for all things homesteading: real food recipes, farm animals, crafts, DIY, how-to’s, gardening, anything from-scratch, natural home/health, self-sufficiency, self-reliance, natural remedies, essential oils, & more! Basically anything related to homesteading.
